E-Motion is honored to partner with Good Grief to bring a Movement Community to New Jersey.
The E-Motion Movement Community is an eight-week, walking/running-based grief group for anyone enduring a life-disrupting loss of a person. Every Movement Community has one trained E-Motion Facilitator and 6-20 grievers. The New Jersey Movement Community is facilitated by Evelynn Moon and Christian Heiss. To learn more about the Movement Community Model and why others have chosen to join us, please click here.
The Movement Community contains three core elements:
In-Person Movement & Gathering: Each week, we meet in person for a group walk/run. Gatherings begin with an E-Motion Sacred Circle led by the E-Motion Facilitator, followed by a shared walking route. (Please watch the video below to get a sense of the in-person gathering.)
Grief-Conscious Content: E-Motion’s multi-week curriculum weaves grief-conscious themes, reflections, and exercises into your experience. Facilitators share these resources after each gathering, encouraging participants to engage with them in their own time.
Culminating Movement Event: At the end of the experience, we come together for a culminating 5k color walk/run to honor and move with our people.
